last night was the first time i've looked through my folder of work since i was taken home.
there are some horrible reminders and some things which make me smile and wonder why i stopped drawing and refused to carry on.

it will still be hard for me to find it again i suppose.

just needs a kick up the arse.

I just wanted to let everyone know that i am still alive. work has taken over and has destroyed any social life that i had.

Loitering In The UK

It is now 64 days until I leave. I'm terrified. There is a lot of negative feedback from my family. Which I don't really like. I don't ignore it. I just don't like it. It makes me feel unhappy that I am doing the wrong thing again, and making another wrong decision. I am more than capable of making a wrong decision and have become quite good at making them. Although that isn't something for me to be proud of. It makes me nervous.
I would really like to be excited at the moment, however that is a difficult task to achieve.
I have however proceeded to buy some things for the journey.
Like a torch, and tissues, and lots of rizla.
I also need to get my hands on a travellers backpack, so, if anyone would sell one? Or inform me where to get a good'un
Life goes on in England for a little while longer..
Escape is all I can think of.

sketchbook updates

not looking forward to today, it is mayday but that makes no sense really. i will be turning 19 in a few weeks, which i also guess is quite exciting but again not really, because it makes my mistakes more important as i should be older and wiser and more of an 'adult'
at the moment you could look at me and see a very small child hiding under a table because she is scared that she has done a lot of wrong things and is about to get sent to the naughty step.
in my dream last night all my teeth fell out and my mouth was stained black, very weird.

I am finally putting something new up. I have good news as well, my work went in to a local exhibition back at home and the starting night was yesterday. 

SO happy, one of my pictures sold for £60, 

have to start somewhere now that I am a complete fuck up.

Seriously. Very much shot my future in the head.

For the latest assignment we were given a selection of extracts from books. 

There were many to choose from but I felt that the others seemed to be very dark and unhappy.

The one I chose may also be like this, but it is about cats and is very very funny. And about cats.

About a man with a heart condition who dislikes cats very much. His whole life he has killed many a cat in some really horrible ways. My job is to turn it into an illustration.

I am fed up of my sleeping pattern, yesterday I slept until 7pm, and I then have been awake until this minute. I am going to be one grouchy mother fucker today, but if this is what it takes for me to sort my sleeping pattern out, then this is how it goes.

I drew some very crap pictures

I watched series 6 of Peep Show, and found it very entertaining
I smoked 7 cigarettes
I stole my flatfoes yoghurt
I read my book 'Down Among the Meth Men' by Jeffry Fletcher
I had a cup of hot Ribena
I went and bought cheese and crackers from the petrol station across the road.
I played Zelda on the Nintendo 64.
I listened to my flatfoes have sex.

Era of the Grumpy Man

Finally own a scanner, 

For this assignment we looked at reportage, we were to make a range of 3d models in different materials and scales. This is where I chose to focus on my father. He has a naturally grumpy face so it made sense to turn his very aggressive looking appearance into a childs doll. Here are some 2d sketches, the finished product will be posted when I purchase a new camera lead.

Firstly, I didn’t realise this is what my blog was for. Recording assignments and things I’ve learnt over my weeks on the course. But, yes, it does make sense now after I facebook stalked a girl who is also in my illustration class. She also has made a blog, but instead of recording pointless information (like me) she has given brief details into her progress during assignments, and shown relevant sketches and inspirations.
BRILLIANT.
So here I am, once again, starting from the top.
No loss really as they were only two very dull posts.

The new assignment is called
‘How Things Work’
Consider how illustration can be used to explain ideas and concepts.
Develop research into one of the following:

1. A short documentary film/ animation
2. Set of images
3. Graphic story/ comic strip
4. Pop up/ interactive book

Then we were given a list of words. I narrowed it down to:
Smiling
Getting a parking ticket
Lighting.

I can't sleep. A cup of coffee was meant to wake me up 4 hours ago, not now. Possibly I should stay awake now but will most certainly pass out in an hour or so. Still I have no way of uploading or scanning my drawings, do not fret. One day. This morning I shall leave you with this. Most probably very realistic at the moment.
