balls

Firstly, I didn’t realise this is what my blog was for. Recording assignments and things I’ve learnt over my weeks on the course. But, yes, it does make sense now after I facebook stalked a girl who is also in my illustration class. She also has made a blog, but instead of recording pointless information (like me) she has given brief details into her progress during assignments, and shown relevant sketches and inspirations.
BRILLIANT.
So here I am, once again, starting from the top.
No loss really as they were only two very dull posts.

The new assignment is called
‘How Things Work’
Consider how illustration can be used to explain ideas and concepts.
Develop research into one of the following:
  1. A short documentary film/ animation
  2. Set of images
  3. Graphic story/ comic strip
  4. Pop up/ interactive book
Then we were given a list of words. I narrowed it down to:
Smiling
Getting a parking ticket
Lighting.

Clueless really

737 man

I can't sleep. A cup of coffee was meant to wake me up 4 hours ago, not now. Possibly I should stay awake now but will most certainly pass out in an hour or so. Still I have no way of uploading or scanning my drawings, do not fret. One day. This morning I shall leave you with this. Most probably very realistic at the moment.

Today I Work

I am getting into a working routine again. Which is good, I am proud in that fact, but still there is no money in the bank and have now apparently signed on? I don't know how it happened.
I cant sign on, by law.. so it has greatly baffled me.
I haven't got any recent scans of my work on my laptop so I'll start off by showing you what I did at Camberwell in the summer.

This was done in black ink and charcoal. I personally don't like it but the man in the picture always makes me smile because he had such a peachy bum.

This is one of the most accurately proportioned drawings I think I have ever done. Created using Euan Uglow's technique.. It worked..
